Special Films Collection: Exhibition films, [ca. 1955]-1964.

Exhibition films made to accompany and further illustrate material being exhibited at the Museum. First part of film called "DNA and Living Cells" portrays, through animated modules, how DNA and RNA direct the synthesis of certain proteins that are vital for proper cell functioning. Second part is footage depicting mitochondria and processes of mitosis and pinocytosis in living cells, 1964. A second film, "Hummingbird Flight Technique," shows flight in slow motion during alighting, feeding, and flying in various directions, ca. 1955.
